Five suspects have been arrested on outstanding warrants and numerous other investigations have been wrapped up, Chestermere RCMP said Monday. Mounties said a targeted warrant roundup was conducted on Aug. 24 in the town east of Calgary. Twenty-nine homes were raided during the operation and 10 warrants, which involved offences such as theft and violation of court orders were executed. Police also obtained information about individuals who were either leaving the province or country; critical data for future investigations. “The Chestermere RCMP continues to work closely with its policing and enforcement partners to locate individuals with outstanding warrants and hold offenders accountable for outstanding matters before the courts.” said Staff Sgt. Kathy Klassen, detachment commander of the Chestermere RCMP. “Our members remain committed to keeping our community safe through diligent policing and rapid response.” The names of the suspects arrested have not been released by police. Anyone with further information about any other wanted individuals are encouraged to contact their local police service.
