20th Independent Field Battery in Lethbridge receives Lieutenant-Governor Award

The 20th Independent Field Battery was recently awarded the Lieutenant-Governor Award for being the most outstanding unit of the 41 Canadian Brigade Group.

The 20th Independent Field Battery in Lethbridge is celebrating a major award.

The reserve unit was recently awarded the Lieutenant-Governor Award for being the most outstanding unit of the 41 Canadian Brigade Group.

More than 100 members are part of the unit.

Three members were also given awards.

“Seeing the exceptional young men and women who work here punch often above their weight class, there are a few hands doing what other units have many hands to do, and a lot of these members are underqualified or often underexperienced in what they do, but they are absolutely knocking it out of the park,” said Warrant Officer Shawn English.

“Every member of this unit should be proud of what they contributed to this award.”

The award was presented to the unit during a ceremony last week.
