One person and two dogs were safely rescued Thursday from a house after it caught fire. Fire crews responded around 2:15 p.m. to a home in the 1100 block of Lakeview Drive South. Once on scene, firefighters found smoke coming from the basement of the home. One person and two dogs were safely evacuated from the basement of the home. The person was treated at the scene by EMS but did not require transport to hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
