Two people are facing charges and police are searching for a third after an armed robbery, kidnapping, and vehicle theft in Weymouth, N.S. The Digby RCMP received a report on the morning of Aug. 17 about a robbery involving a firearm that had occurred the previous night. “The victim, a 24-year-old man from Digby, was in a vehicle with two women parked in the 7100 block of Hwy. 101 in Plympton when an unknown man approached and forced him into the passenger seat at gunpoint,” read a news release from RCMP. The three suspects then drove the victim to an ATM, where he was forced to withdraw cash, before dropping him off at another location and fleeing in his Mercedes-Benz CLA250, says police. The vehicle has since been recovered and seized by RCMP Forensic Identification Services. Ronda Lynne Anne McCullough, 27, of Yarmouth and Casey Anne Fitzgerald, 32, of Weymouth, have each been charged with: McCollough is also charged with assault with a weapon, while Fitzgerald is charged with possession of a weapon contrary to an order. Both appeared in Annapolis Royal provincial court on Aug. 19 and remain in custody pending future court dates. The RCMP is seeking information on the whereabouts of Shaun Alan Thibodeau, 37, of Weymouth, who’s wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant in relation to the incident. He’s facing charges of uttering threats to cause death, extortion, robbery, kidnapping, motor vehicle theft, theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000, multiple firearms and weapons offences, and failing to comply with a release order. Police describe Thibodeau as five-foot-eight and170 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
