Vehicle crashes into Mapleview Drive West storefront, no injuries reported

Emergency crews responded to find a car, reversed up over the curb and through the window of the La Vie En Rose store.

A vehicle crashed into a storefront in Barrie Monday morning, prompting a police response and a structural safety assessment of the building.

It happened shortly after 9 a.m. at the la Vie en Rose outlet on Mapleview Drive West.

Photos released by police show a black Volkswagen reversed over the curb into what appears to be a shattered front window.

Police say the woman driving the vehicle was not injured.

Officials tell CTV News the building sustained structural damage and will need to be assessed before it is deemed safe again.

No other injures were reported.
