If you’re a fan of country music, chances are you tune in to Pure Country 106 and are familiar with the Orillia station’s morning show hosts Jason McCoy and Carey Moran.

The co-hosts received a special honour, winning a Broadcast Dialogue Radio award for Best On-Air Team or Host in the small market category.

“I couldn’t be happier for Jason & Carey to win this award. They work tirelessly to connect with their listeners to give them a laugh every morning and the listeners have become like family to them,” said Josh Duncan, Pure Country 106 program director.

“Not only do they deliver over the air, but each of them works actively in the community to make it a better place. Jason works closely alongside The Seasons Center for Grieving Children and the Motorcycle Ride for Dad while Carey, it seems, has been a part of every local institution in Simcoe County sitting on the board at Georgian Bay General Hospital, Greenhaven Shelter for Women and Children and a Committee Member with the Waypoint Centre For Mental Health. Not to mention keeping Jason in line which is a full time gig itself!”

McCoy and Moran have been on air together for nearly a decade.
