Power outage affecting 10,000 homes and businesses: Alectra

Thousands of people in north Barrie are without power Monday afternoon.

Alectra says the outage is affecting around 10,000 homes and businesses east of Highway 400 and north of Dunlop Street West.

The cause is unknown while crews are on scene investigating.

The estimated time of restoration is also not known.

Barrie police are reminding drivers to street intersections where the lights are out as four-way stops.
