Provincial police say roads had to be shut down Thursday night due to a serious collision. It happened around 10:30 p.m. on County Road 27, between Doran Road and Horseshoe Valley Road West, in Springwater. According to OPP, a pickup truck collided with a cyclist. Police say the cyclist, a 30-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries before being airlifted to a Toronto area hospital. Police say the driver of the truck remained on scene. Roads reopened in the area around 4:30 a.m.
