One hospitalized after vehicle rollover: OPP

Emergency crews responded to a crash in Essa Township early Sunday morning that reportedly resulted in one person getting hospitalized.

In a 2:36 a.m. social media post, Nottawasaga OPP reported that 8th Line was closed between Highway 89 and 5th Sideroad just west of Cookstown as crews responded to a single vehicle rollover.

The OPP public information advisor (PIA) told CTV News that the lone male occupant was airlifted to Toronto hospital with ‘serious’ but ‘non-life-threatening’ injuries.

In a 6:15 a.m. update, the OPP confirmed that the on-site investigation had concluded and the area had reopened.
