On-scene investigation concludes after high police presence in Innisfil

There was an increased police presence near Emerald Court in Innisfil, Ont., on the morning of Sat., Jan. 3, 2026.

South Simcoe Police reported Saturday morning that they are wrapping up an investigation at a scene in Innisfil.

In an 8:13 a.m. social media post, the service reported that there had been a high police presence near Emerald Court and that officers concluded their investigation.

Police say there is no threat to public safety, however, some cruisers may still be seen in the area.

The nature of the investigation is unknown, and CTV News reached out to South Simcoe Police for more information.
