Barrie police have laid charges in a collision that resulted in a motorcyclist being airlifted to hospital. The collision happened on July 15, on Churchill Drive. Around 7 a.m., Barrie police say a motorcyclist collided with a pickup truck that was towing a vehicle. A 21-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital as a result of the collision. Police say the man suffered serious injuries and is now recovering at home. The driver of the truck was uninjured in the collision. According to police, an investigation determined the motorcycle was travelling behind the pickup truck and attempted to pass on the inside when the truck was making a right turn. On Wednesday, police laid charges of careless driving against a 21-year-old Barrie man.
