Frozen pipe closes aging Stroud rec centre

It never rains but it pours.

After struggling with a deteriorating wall at the Stroud Arena for the past month, the rest of the building is now showing its wear.

The town has closed the Stroud branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB and Library and Curling Club after a frozen pipe burst over the weekend.

Town staff and contractors are currently assessing the damage, but the building will remain closed until water service is restored and all work is completed.

Other areas of the Stroud facility, including the arena and banquet hall, also remain closed following the identification of a significant structural issue involving an interior wall.
