Fresh-market grocer Farm Boy to open location in Collingwood

The store is set to open next Thursday, March 26, on Huron Street in the heart of downtown.

Ontario grocer Farm Boy is expanding and it just so happens to be making its way to the northwest of our region.

A new Farm Boy location is expected to open its doors in Collingwood next week.

The official opening will be on Thurs., March 26 at the store’s location on Huron Street, a central spot in the community’s downtown.

This will be the 52^nd location in the province.

The grand opening celebrations will run from opening day until Sat., March 28. The store will be offering up various product samples, giveaways, games and mascot appearances.

This location promises a “hyper-local” area where a variety of local vendors will feature their products like Root to Fruit and Georgian Bay Granola.

Another feature will be the hot bar, chef’s market soup bay and salad bar, options to target both residents and locals in Collingwood and the Blue Mountains looking for fresh grab-and-go meals.

The Barrie Farm Boy location on Bryne Drive opened four years ago in March 2022.

Farm Boy was founded in Cornwall in 1981 that’s grown from a small produce store to more than 50 locations across Ontario.
