Farm Boy opens new Collingwood store Thursday with special giveaways, samples

Far Boy officially has 52 grocery store locations across the province, including a new store in Collingwood, Ont.

Farm Boy is opening its doors in Collingwood, bringing its fresh-market shopping experience to the community with a grand opening celebration.

The specialty grocer will launch its 52nd store in the province, starting Thursday morning.

An opening ceremony is scheduled for 7:40 a.m., featuring refreshments and free giveaways. The grand opening will also offer product samples, games, and more giveaways throughout the event.

The new Collingwood landmark, located at 39 Huron Street, is set to bring a selection of farm-fresh produce, butcher-quality meats, artisan cheeses and fresh dairy products.

Shoppers can expect an emphasis on Ontario and Canadian products, like locally sourced produce, hormone-free organic beef, pork, and chicken and 100 per cent Canadian AAA beef.

According to the Farm Boy website, the grocer will also feature plant-based, vegan, and vegetarian options, as well as full-service hot, salad and soup bars.

Farm Boy, known for its fresh-market style experience, continues to expand across Ontario, with the Collingwood location marking its 52nd store.

Doors open Thursday, bright and early, with shopping opening to the public from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
