Search for missing vulnerable Newmarket woman ends

The search for a vulnerable woman who went missing earlier this week has been called off one day after police appealed to the public for help.

On Wednesday morning, York Regional Police confirmed the 62-year-old Newmarket woman had been located.

Investigators said her family and police grew concerned after she left her residence Monday evening and failed to return. They issued the appeal to the public the following morning.

Police did not provide details about her whereabouts, but have said she’s been found and the case is closed.

They offered thanks to those who assisted with the investigation.
