E-bike rentals now available along Barrie’s waterfront

Rent an e-bike at Centennial Park in Barrie.

This weekend marks the unofficial long weekend of the summer, and the City of Barrie is offering something new for visitors to its waterfront.

E-bikes are now available to rent at Centennial Park. Scooty, a GTA-based nicro-mobility company, has introduced its eco-friendly electric bike rentals to the city’s waterfront for riders to take in all the area has to offer along Kempenfelt Bay.

The e-bikes can be rented using the SCOOTY - Let’s Go! app. Riders simply need to scan the e-bike’s barcode and explore the waterfront on wheels.

Riders must be at least 16 years old to ride an e-bike and all riders must wear protective helmets.

The City only permits riders to ride in the central waterfront area parks and trails, from the start of the Waterfront Heritage Trail at White Oaks Road to the North Shore Trail.

Additionally, Scooty renters are not permitted to ride on the boardwalk.
