'We need to find another level' Here's what Colts head coach Dylan Smoskowitz had to say before game

After losing games one and two on the road, the Barrie Colts are set to face off against the Kitchener Rangers in game three of the OHL Final.

The Colts are looking to break back into the series. They have been outscored 9-5 as well as being outshot 91-60

With the team looking to build off their overtime loss in game two.

Head coach Dylan Smoskowitz said he liked the effort from game two, now its time to execute.

“I think if the effort remains the same, but you build confidence in yourself and understanding of your opponent, you’ll just start to execute some more plays,” said Smoskowitz. “And I think that’s where we struggled a little bit. I think we had the right idea a bunch of times, and that often comes with good effort. But execution is key, especially at this time of year.

Smoskowitz said the team needs to find another level.

“We need to find another level to our game,” said Smoskowitz. “That’s the biggest thing here, it’s, a lot of emotional wins (in) that last series, but it’s time to move on. We dug ourselves a pretty big hole to go down 2-0 with Kitchener now, and, it’s time to find another level.”

With Smoskowitz expecting the home crowd to carry them through the night.

“It’s going to be rocking. I can guarantee you that. I mean, it was the loudest I’ve ever heard it as either player or coach in game six against Branford. And it’s going to be even louder tonight,” said Smoskowitz.

Puck drop is slated at 6:00 p.m. at Sadlon Arena and for those who can’t make the game, the game can be viewed on TSN 2.
