Dangerous snow squalls and significant blowing snow continue under an Orange Alert for the Barrie, Collingwood, Hillsdale, Innisfil, New Tecumseth and Angus areas.

Additional local snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 centimetres through Wednesday afternoon and possibly exceeding 50 cm by Thursday morning.

Lake effect snow off Georgian Bay continues with widespread blowing snow resulting in near zero visibility with northwesterly winds gusting 50 to 70 km/h.

Winds are expected to ease this evening. Lake effect snow bands may weaken somewhat for a short time today before intensifying again Tuesday night into Wednesday and possibly into Thursday for some areas

Snow squalls and blowing snow continue under a Yellow Alert in Newmarket, Georgina, Northern York Region, Midland, Coldwater and Orr Lake.

Ontario Storm expects near zero visibility in snow and blowing snow.

Additional local snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm through Wednesday afternoon, and possibly exceeding 30 cm by Thursday morning.
