Canadian Flyball team represents at FOWC

Spirits are high for Essa-based dog club Some Ruff Competition (SRC), after a showing the 2026 Flyball Open World Cup (FOWC) in England.

The club sent two teams, a total of 10 dog, overseas to Norwich to participate in the international competition and square off more than against 70 other teams.

SRC’s teams placed 15th and 50th in the overall competition over at the competition over the weekend.

“Our dogs and handlers rose to every challenge throughout the weekend,” said club captain Emily Venator.

“We’re incredibly proud of how they performed and represented Canada on the world stage,” Venator said.

Team dogs Juicy, ThrottL, Drift and G-Force finished 15th and recorded 14.96 seconds as their best personal time over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Wonder, Rabbit, Olive, and Margo, who placed 50th, had a weekend best time of 15.93 seconds.
