Truck crashes into Alliston pizza shop

Police are investigating after a truck crashed into an Alliston pizza shop.

An Alliston pizza shop got a bit of a surprise when a pickup truck arrived at the store just before the noon hour Monday.

The Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a phone call at 11:45 a.m. saying there had been a single-vehicle collision at on Young Street in New Tecumseth.

When police arrived, they found a woman had crashed a Dodge Ram truck through the front windows of the Little Caesar’s Pizza shop.

“The integrity of the building has been compromised, so they will likely close the store for the day,” said OPP Const. Mckayla Cotey.

There was no word on the cause of the collision or whether any charges would be laid.
