A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in St. Peter and St. Paul, P.E.I. Prince District RCMP, the Tignish Fire Department and Island EMS responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 2 around 4:20 a.m. on Friday. According to a release from the RCMP, the driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the passenger, a woman in her 40s, was declared dead at the scene. A traffic reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Route 2 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
