Police seized 125 grams of fentanyl after executing a search warrant at a Summerside, P.E.I., residence on Monday. Police say they arrested four people at the scene for possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl. Along with the fentanyl, they also reportedly seized methamphetamine, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and more than $1,000 in cash. “This is a significant seizure of a highly dangerous drug,” said Jason Blaquiere, chief of Summerside Police Services, in an RCMP news release. “The quantity seized in the execution of this warrant could have been in the tens of thousands of doses.” Police say charges are pending for a 54-year-old Summerside woman and a 23-year-old Moncton man. During the execution of the warrant, police also arrested a 36-year-old Summerside woman on an unrelated warrant. The investigation is ongoing.
