P.E.I. minimum wage to increase to $17.60 by April 2027

Minimum wage on P.E.I. is set to increase to $17.60 per hour by next April.

The P.E.I. government said Thursday the rate will increase from $17 to $17.30 in October.

It will go up again on April 1, 2027, from $17.30 to $17.60.

This week Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and P.E.I. all experienced minimum wage increases.

On Wednesday, minimum wage jumped by $0.50 on P.E.I., from $16.50 to $17 per hour. This was the biggest increase in minimum wage in the Maritime provinces.

The minimum wage in Nova Scotia increased $0.25 per hour on Wednesday, from $16.50 to $16.75.

The minimum wage in New Brunswick also increased by $0.25 per hour, from $15.65 to $15.90 per hour.
