Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after Charlottetown police seized cocaine during a targeted traffic stop last week. Police say they seized 117 grams of cocaine along with cellphones and other drug paraphernalia in Crapaud, P.E.I., on Thursday. Samantha Richard-Sweet, 34, and an unnamed 25-year-old man have both been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, according to news release from police. Richard-Sweet was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. The man was released and is set to return to court on Sept. 17.
