Two people have died after a collision on Highway 101 in Kingston, N.S., on Tuesday. Kings District RCMP and emergency services responded to a report of the crash around 3 p.m. “Officers learned that a Kia Rio and a tractor trailer, both travelling westbound, had collided,” reads an RCMP news release on Wednesday. The driver of the Rio, a 75-year-old woman, and the passenger, a 28-year-old man, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were both from Middleton, N.S. The driver of the truck, a 33-year-old man from Lawrencetown, Annapolis County, was treated at the scene by EHS. Highway 101 was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene.
