The second annual Cops + Kids event was held Wednesday at Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth, N.S. The event let kids do some Christmas shopping while officers had the chance to build relationships in the community. Around 25 youths and 25 officers and public servants took part in the event. Officers and youths got to “wake up Woody,” the talking Christmas tree located at the mall. “They’re really excited and I think it will be a really fun day,” said Michael Elms, Preston RCMP officer.
