RCMP charges man in West Hants, N.S., for sexual offences involving youth

West Hants RCMP has now charged an Ontario man with more than 30 sexual offences as part of an investigation that started in 2022, according to Mounties in an update.

The 29-year-old man appeared in court last August to face charges that included luring a child, indecent communications and transmitting sexually explicit material to a child.

To date, RCMP has charged Sebastien Michael Vienneau of Woodstock, Ont., with:

• luring a child (30 counts)
• making sexually explicit material available to a child (eight counts)
• indecent communications (two counts)
• making child pornography (two counts)
• possessing child pornography
• accessing child pornography
• making child pornography available

Charges were laid on Dec. 11 in Kentville Provincial Court and include offences involving 30 alleged victims, all of whom were youth at the time.

The ongoing investigation involved many units and agencies, said Sgt. Ed Nugent of West Hants RCMP.

Police said no further charges are expected as the investigation continues.
