RCMP charge man after multiple robberies in Middleton, N.S.

RCMP has charged a man with multiple offences in relation to break ins and robberies inMiddleton, N.S.

Police responded to seven robberies, break and enters and thefts at businesses, including a restaurant, motel and grocery, convenience and thrift stores between April 4 and 9, said an RCMP news release.

Investigators charged 19-year-old Tyson Kevin Cecil Bishop of Annapolis County with multiple offences including:

• robbery
• disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence
• possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Bishop was taken into custody and remained there while investigations into other continued.

Police charged Bishop with multiple offences related to six more incidents in February, including:

• robbery
• possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence
• assault causing bodily harm

“We appreciate the cooperation of the victims, witnesses and others who provided valuable input into the investigations,” said Sgt. Mike Maxwell.
