RCMP arrests two people with stolen alcohol after search in Dartmouth, N.S.

Halifax RCMP arrested two people after seizing a large quantity of stolen alcohol last week, said a police news release.

Officers seized more than 450 sealed bottles of alcohol while executing a search warrant at a residence on Floral Avenue on Thursday. The search was part of a two-month theft investigation after “significant” amounts of alcohol were stolen from stores in Halifax Regional Municipality, said police.

A 57-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man face charges that include possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime — trafficking. They were released and will appear at a later date in Dartmouth Provincial Court.

The investigation in partnership with the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation is ongoing.
