Person arrested after threat at Sackville High School: HRCE

Police say they arrested a person following a threat at Sackville High School in Nova Scotia.

A person is in custody after a threat was directed at Sackville High School in Lower Sackville, N.S., on Monday afternoon, according to the Halifax Regional Centre for Education.

In an email to families, the Centre said the school received a threat and immediately called the RCMP.

Officers arrested an individual and all students and staff are safe, according to the Centre.

“Out of an abundance of caution, police will be on site for the remainder of the day,” the email reads.

In a social media post, the RCMP said a youth is in custody.
