The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is asking for the public’s help tracking down Evan Haney, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for allegedly breaching his statutory release. Haney is serving a two-year, three-month sentence for several offences, including break and enter, assault with a weapon, identity fraud, fraud under $5,000 and disobeying a court order. He is described as a 29-year-old Indigenous man, standing roughly five-foot-10 inches tall. He has brown hair, hazel eyes, fair skin and is known to wear brown-rimmed glasses. Police say he has numerous tattoos. Haney is known to frequent the Midland and Kitchener areas. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Provincial R.O.P.E. Squad.
