One dead, one injured in two vehicle crash in Port Mouton, N.S.

An 84-year-old man has died following a collision in Port Mouton, N.S.

Members of the Queens District RCMP responded to the crash Thursday around 9:15 a.m. on Highway 103. Police said an eastbound Mazda 3 and a westbound International truck collided.

The driver of the Mazda, an 84-year-old man from Port Mouton, died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver of the International, a 35-year-old man from Chelsea, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Highway 103 was closed for several hours while police investigated.

Police are asking anyone with information on the collision or who may have dashcam footage to contact RCMP at 902-354-5721 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
