N.S. woman arrested for alleged impaired driving after car crash in Lewis Lake

A 54-year-old Middle Sackville, N.S., woman has been arrested for alleged impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash in Lewis Lake on Canada Day.

The RCMP says officers responded to the reported crash in the 4600 block of St. Margarets Bay Road around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. They found a Nissan Rogue off the roadway and a woman in a ditch, according to a news release.

“Officers assisted the woman out of the ditch and observed signs of impairment,” the release reads. “No one else is believed to have been in the Rogue at the time of the crash.”

Police say the woman provided two breath samples of 140 mg% and 150 mg%.

She was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
