A 19-year-old woman accused of stabbing a six-year-old child in downtown Halifax in February pled not guilty to three charges on Wednesday. Elliot Chorny appeared in Halifax provincial court on Tuesday and elected trial by Supreme Court Justice regarding three charges. According to an email to CTV News from the Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service, Chorny pled not guilty the following day. Chorny is facing an attempted murder charge for stabbing the boy, who was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries at the time. The accused, also faces a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon in the attack on the boy, and an assault charge involving an attack on a woman in Halifax on Jan. 27.
