A man has been charged with second-degree murder more than a year after a woman was found dead inside a home in Bible Hill, N.S. Colchester County District RCMP responded to the home on Bomber Drive around 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 3, 2025, to conduct a well-being check. Police found the body of a 42-year-old woman and an unconscious man at the scene. The man was taken to hospital and the woman’s death was ruled a homicide. Her identity has not been released. Police say they arrested the man at a home in Bible Hill on Tuesday, following “an extensive investigation.” Lee Andrew MacDonald, 49, of Bible Hill has been charged with second-degree murder. “There is no evidence to suggest this homicide is an incident of intimate partner violence,” said the RCMP on Wednesday. “Investigators appreciated information from the public that helped bring about this arrest.” MacDonald appeared in Truro provincial court on Wednesday and was remanded into custody pending future court appearances.
