Nova Scotia’s CAT ferry service to Maine announces sailing schedule for summer 2025

Bay Ferries Limited (BFL) announced the sailing schedule for the 2025 season for the ferry service between Nova Scotia and Maine on Friday.

Ferry crossings will begin on May 15. The CAT ferry is scheduled to depart Yarmouth, N.S., at 9:30 a.m. Atlantic time. The ferry will sail at 3 p.m. Eastern time from Bar Harbour, Maine.

“Our team at Bay Ferries is ready for the 2025 season and we are committed to delivering the service efficiently with a continued focus on safety and reliability,” said Mark Wilson, Chief Executive Officer at BFL. “Since The CAT arrived in Yarmouth on April 25 after a winter maintenance and drydocking period, we have been actively preparing for the start of the season, completing high levels of safety, operational training and maintenance work.”

The ferry runs five days a week from May 15 to June 18 and daily from June 19 to Sept. 22. It will return to five days for service from Sept. 25 until its final crossing on Oct. 15. There are four scheduled maintenance days through the summer.
