Naval Museum of Halifax to be closed for 2 years for renovations

The Naval Museum of Halifax will be closed for two years for a planned renovation.

The renovations are to preserve the 208-year-old Admiralty House, which is the home of the museum.

In the announcement on Monday, the Canadian Armed Forces says the museum will work on the development of new exhibitions to increase the visitor experience during the closure.

The museum’s final day open to the public will be April 2 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and it is expected to reopen in spring 2028.
