Man who allegedly pointed firearm at people in Bridgewater, N.S., wanted by police

A warrant is out for a man’s arrest after he allegedly pointed a firearm at people in Bridgewater, N.S.

Bridgewater Police Service responded to a business on North Street following a firearms-related complaint around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses reported a man had been in the parking lot of the business and pointed what was believed to be a firearm at two people before fleeing.

Police concluded it was not a random incident.

“Bridgewater Police were aware of ongoing issues involving these individuals which the Nova Scotia RCMP had been dealing with over the past several days during a number of different incidents elsewhere in Lunenburg County. In this particular matter, police determined that there was no threat to the public,” police said in a news release.

Bridgewater Police Service and the RCMP blocked off a section of Glen Allan Drive and set up a containment area early the next morning.

Officers entered a home to search for the suspect around 1:40 a.m.

While no one was home at the time, police say they did find a loaded and unsecured .22-calibre rifle inside.

Brandon Tyler Feindell of no fixed address has been charged with the following in connection with the investigation:

• without lawful excuse, pointing a firearm
• handling a restricted weapon in a careless manner
• possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace
• possession of a firearm without being the holder of a licence under which it may be possessed
• knowingly occupying a motor vehicle in which there was located a restricted firearm
• possession of a loaded restricted firearm
• possession of a firearm or knowing that it was obtained by the commission of an offence
• two counts of uttering a threat to cause death

Feindell has not yet been apprehended.

Bridgewater police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information on Feindell’s whereabouts to call them at 902-543-2464.
