Man arrested in New Minas, N.S., in connection with double homicide in Manitoba

A 31-year-old man was arrested in New Minas, N.S., on Wednesday in connection with a double homicide in Manitoba in June.

Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services unit is leading the investigation into the homicides of a 29-year-old man and 41-year-old woman in Victoria Beach, Man., on June 20.

Manitoba RCMP says, with the help from RCMP in British Columbia and Nova Scotia, they were able to arrest two men.

Police arrested Nathoniel More-Harrison for second-degree murder in New Minas, N.S., on Wednesday.

More-Harrison, from the Rural Municipality of St Clements, Man., has been charged and will be returned to Manitoba for court.

Mitchell Johanson, a 28-year-old man from Grand Marais, Man., was arrested for second-degree murder in Abbotsford, B.C., on Oct. 7.

He was remanded into custody and returned to Manitoba pending court.
