Man, 49, arrested on provincewide warrant in Lake Egmont, N.S.

A Nova Scotia man wanted on a provincewide warrant has been arrested in Lake Egmont.

Dangulo Thompson, 49, was arrested for several charges including criminal harassment and uttering threats.

Halifax Regional Detachment Intimate Partner Violence Unit and the Community Action Response Team observed Thompson at a property on Wednesday around 7:50 p.m.

Police say Thompson fled from officers on foot and ran into a wooded area.

He was located and arrested with assistance from RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, RCMP Police Dog Services, the RCMP Emergency Response Team and two remotely piloted aircraft systems.

Thompson was initially facing charges of:

• five counts of breach of probation
• trespassing at night
• criminal harassment
• uttering threats

He is facing additional charges of:

• three counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
• two counts of trespassing at night
• criminal harassment
• fail to comply with release order
• 16 counts fail to comply with probation order
• breach of conditional sentence order

Thompson appeared in Shubenacadie provincial court on Thursday and will remain in custody until he reappears in court on Monday.
