Inmate dies while in custody at Springhill Institution: CSC

An inmate from Springhill Institution, in Springhill, N.S., has died while in custody.

Steven Wilson, 41, died on Friday, according to the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC).

He had been serving a sentence of six years and six months since Aug. 1, 2025.

The CSC says his next of kin has been notified and the circumstances of his death will be reviewed.
