Police in Nova Scotia are warning residents that a high-risk offender may be in the Halifax area. The RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment says 45-year-old Patrick Celestine Hyslop is wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant for failing to comply with condition of release order. Hyslop has “multiple criminal convictions for sexual offences, including sexual assault and sexual interference involving a youth.” Police believe Hyslop is in the Halifax area, but say he has ties to other areas of the province and Manitoba. “This information is provided to alert members of the public of his presence in the community and to aid in Hyslop’s arrest. It is not intended to encourage any form of vigilante activity or other unreasonable conduct,” reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP. Police are asking anyone who sees Hyslop, or who has information on his whereabouts, to contact RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment at 902-490-5020 or their local police.
