Halifax police officer accused of selling stolen bicycles pleads not guilty

A Halifax police officer accused of selling stolen bicycles has pleaded not guilty to four charges.

A Halifax police officer accused of selling stolen property, including bicycles and other items, has pleaded not guilty.

Fallon Sarah Clarke, 39, and her lawyer appeared in court by phone Thursday morning.

Clarke pleaded not guilty to the following charges:

• breach of trust
• false pretence
• obstruction
• possession of property obtained by crime with a value over $5,000

Halifax Regional Police referred the case to the Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) on Sept. 4, 2025.

SiRT charged Fallon on Oct. 29, 2025, following an investigation into the sale of stolen items. SiRT previously said it believed the bikes were stolen in the Halifax Regional Municipality in 2025.

No other details about the allegations have been released.

Clarke has elected to be tried by judge alone in Nova Scotia Supreme Court.

A pre-trial begins later this month.

Halifax Regional Police Chief Don MacLean said in October that Clarke had been suspended with pay since the investigation began and would remain suspended pending the outcome of the court case.
