Halifax Regional Police (HRP) are investigating a stabbing that left a man badly injured Sunday morning. Police responded to the intersection of Barrington and Richmond streets around 3:55 a.m., where a 27-year-old man was found suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital with serious injuries. “Police believe the incident began as a verbal dispute among a group of people before escalating into a physical altercation. No other injuries have been reported,” a release from HRP reads. Investigators are asking for anyone who may have captured dashcam footage on Barrington Street, between Richmond and Duffus streets from 3:15 a.m. to 4 a.m., or anyone with information about the incident to contact police at 902-490-5020.
