A fire destroyed a garage in Kentville, N.S.

A fire destroyed a two-story garage in North Kentville, N.S., early Thursday morning.

Scott Hamilton, chief of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department, said crews responded to the fire just after 1 a.m. They found the garage on fire near a home on McKittrick Road.

The fire damaged some of the home’s siding, but did not fully spread to it. There were no reported injuries.

Hamilton said crews were on the scene for five-to-six hours battling the fire. The garage was deemed to be a complete loss.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation.
