Church Point, N.S., woman charged with drug trafficking, weapons offences

A woman has been charged for alleged drug trafficking and weapons offences after police executed search warrants in Church Point, N.S.

Meteghan RCMP Detachment, along with RCMP Emergency Response Team and the Southwest Nova Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a property on Patrice Road and another on Oakridge Road on Tuesday.

Amanda Althea Smith, 47, was arrested at the residence on Patrice Road.

“During the searches, investigators seized a quantity of cocaine, a digital scale, four firearms, ammunition, stolen property, and other items,” a release from RCMP said.

Smith was charged with:

• possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
• five counts possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
• unsafe storage of firearm
• possession of property obtained by crime

She was released on conditions and will appear in Digby provincial court on Jan. 26, 2026.
