Three people dead after car collides with transport truck in Black Point, N.B.

Three young men died in a collision on Route 11 in New Brunswick.

A teenager and two men in their 20s are dead after their car collided with a transport truck in Black Point, N.B.

Police and emergency crews responded to the two-vehicle collision on Route 11 around 7:12 p.m. Thursday.

The RCMP says it appears the car crossed the centreline and collided head-on with the transport truck.

The driver, a 25-year-old man from Campbellton, and his two passengers, a 27-year-old man from Moncton and an 18-year-old man from Dalhousie, died at the scene.

The driver of the transport truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Route 11 was closed for roughly 11 hours. It has since reopened.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
