Saint John police have arrested a third man in connection to an alleged stabbing that hospitalized two men in the uptown area earlier this month. Police arrested an unnamed 18-year-old man in connection to the incident on Wednesday. He is scheduled to appear in court to face charges of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault and failing to comply with an undertaking. Officers responded to the reported stabbing on King Street around 9:41 p.m. on Aug. 1. They found an injured 54-year-old man and a 27-year-old man with serious injuries, according to a news release from the Saint John Police Force. Both victims went to hospital. Roughly 30 minutes later, police responded to a report of a 19-year-old man who was bleeding at an east side residence. At the scene, they learned the 19-year-old was not bleeding. “It was determined to be associated to the incident on King Street,” the release reads. “Two males were transported to the hospital as a result of their injuries.” A 44-year-old man was charged with attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
