Manitoba RCMP are investigating after the remains of a newly born infant were discovered outside a home on Monday. Officers in The Pas were called Monday morning shortly after 9 a.m. for a report of possible human remains outside of an address in Umpherville, located approximately 630 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg. The remains were discovered between two residences, and an autopsy took place Wednesday. RCMP said the remains are those of a newborn infant or a fetus, and the investigation is ongoing.
