Small aircraft makes emergency landing at Saint John Airport

A small aircraft made an emergency landing at the Saint John, N.B., airport on Tuesday.

A small aircraft made an emergency landing at Saint John Airport on Tuesday evening, re-directing another incoming flight.

Airport spokesperson Lori Carle said the small aircraft’s pilot declared an emergency at around 7:15 p.m., landing on the runway without incident about five minutes later.

There were no injuries. It’s unclear why an emergency was declared.

An incoming Air Canada flight was diverted to Halifax, but returned to Saint John around 8 p.m.
